Adjunctive Topical Mesenchymal Stem Cell-Derived Secretome-Enriched Biological Dressings in the Management of Chronic Wounds

Adjunctive Topical Mesenchymal Stem Cell-Derived Secretome-Enriched Biological Dressings in the Management of Chronic Wounds: A Case Series

Summary: This case series evaluates the use of topical mesenchymal stem cell (MSC)-derived secretome-enriched biological dressings as an adjunctive therapy for chronic wounds. The secretome, rich in growth factors, cytokines, and exosomes, was applied to difficult-to-heal wounds, showing accelerated healing, reduced inflammation, and improved tissue regeneration with good tolerability.

Key Highlights:

  • MSC secretome-enriched dressings as adjunctive therapy
  • Promising results in chronic, hard-to-heal wounds
  • Mechanisms include enhanced angiogenesis and anti-inflammatory effects
  • Well-tolerated with positive clinical outcomes
