Podiatric Medical Practice, People with Diabetes, and the Relationship to Primary Care The typical practice of podiatric medicine includes a population that receives care on a more frequent basis than perhaps most patients seen by other medical specialists (e.g. surgeon, ophthalmologist, dermatologist, and otorhinolaryngologist).
